International Operational Excellence (OE) is a newly expanded organization, responsible for supporting our international issuing and acquiring businesses across 27+ countries and ensuring they have a robust first line of defence. International OE plays an active role in enabling the businesses to meet their growth objectives whilst demonstrating an effective control framework. Our organization helps our international businesses manage risk, respond to new regulations, and develop new products whilst creating and nurturing effective partnerships across multiple key stakeholders across the organization.

This exciting internship position will be responsible for actively supporting the International Operational Excellence issuing teams on a wide variety of initiatives to deliver on its business objectives, and for ensuring it is executing effectively against local and central control and compliance expectations.

Training objectives:

  • Support the International Operational Excellence issuing teams by performing analysis and monitoring of key Risks, Issues, and Changes.
  • To learn monitoring of Operational Risk control metrics and provide metrics analysis.
  • To gain experience in assessing areas of opportunity to increase OE efficiency that will lead to (i) enhance existing processes and/or (ii) eliminate nonvalue added activities.
  • Support on key initiatives and projects end to end
  • Support, along with the team, IOE issuing teams in the preparation and coordination of presentations, committees, BURs, audits, among others.
