Working alongside the Head of Corporate & Legal Affairs Global Duty Free and his direct report team of managers, the traineeship position will support the team in a variety of ways, providing day-to-day support in maintaining key internal regulatory databases, contributing to a host of departmental priorities and events, as well as ensuring alignment to the Corporate Affairs global strategy. This role offers a great opportunity to work closely with our team in their day to day work, whilst simultaneously gaining unique insights into Imperial Brands,  Global Duty Free and the Travel Retail industry and discovering what it is like to be part of Corporate Affairs in a hugely successful global organisation

Key Elements:

  • Analyse and process information on respective regulation, across our global footprint of 80+ markets
  • Develop & maintain a database for an in-depth understanding of the political and regulatory issues, liaising with internal stakeholders as necessary
  • Support the development and maintenance of online internal platforms (Intranet-based) with accurate and updated regulatory information
  • Contribute internally to the development of our advocacy materials and messaging
  • Translate regulation (technical requirements) into easy to understand communications
  • Prepare written briefs and perform ad-hoc research
  • Prepare presentations and other key support materials for the team, including the development of policy infographics for use at market level
  • Contribute internally to the development of our advocacy strategies and policies
  • Ensure appropriate internal communications, supporting the delivery of a variety of conference calls, webinars and internal reports
  • Support in the delivery of key Corporate Affairs events, such as workshops and global conferences
  • Support the Head of Corporate & Legal Affairs in key internal / external meetings
  • Support market clients (centrally and locally) in their engagement
  • Support in the creation of market engagement / business plan templates
  • Track market engagement and share actions / learnings

Candidate Minimum Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the Spain with flexibility to travel if needed
  • University degree or equivalent in relevant subject (desirable)
  • Strong interest and activities in politics or communications
  • Experience of coordinating projects across stakeholders
  • Language skills: English, additional language (desirable)
  • A drive to be challenged
