Revenue Management Trainee 

As a Revenue Management Trainee, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of Revenue Management by working closely with the Revenue Management team across various tasks and responsibilities. Under the guidance of a Revenue Manager, you will support the daily operations while developing the skills and knowledge needed to grow into a future Revenue role within the organization.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 

 

  • Training & Learning Development: Participate in a structured onboarding and training program covering core Revenue Management concepts, tools, systems, and strategies used at Sani Ikos Group; learn how to apply pricing, inventory management, and distribution channel tactics in line with business objectives; shadow Revenue Managers and assist in selected revenue-related tasks to gain hands-on experience and practical exposure.
  • Support in Revenue Management Operations: Assist in updating and monitoring rate plans, inventory settings, and availability across distribution systems; support in evaluating system-generated pricing and inventory recommendations using our Revenue Management Systems (Duetto) and Benchmarking tools (Lighthouse, CoStar…); help monitor rate parity and ensure consistent presence and pricing across all third-party platforms; contribute to data entry, report preparation, and maintenance of system accuracy for future 365-day plans.
  • Data Analysis & Benchmarking: Assist in collecting and organizing data for performance reviews across KPIs; participate in market and competitor research activities to understand pricing trends and strategic positioning; learn how to interpret and summarize insights from benchmarking tools and market share reports.
  • Forecasting & Budget Exposure: Support the Revenue Managers in building and updating daily and weekly forecasts; contribute to the preparation of forecast input files and help track pick-up trends and calendar event impacts; gain exposure to the annual budgeting process and assist with data collection and formatting.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Meetings: Join cross-departmental meetings (Sales, Reservations, Marketing, Operations, Analytics) when relevant to learn how Revenue aligns with broader commercial goals; help prepare presentations, reporting visuals, and documentation for team discussions and decision-making.
  • General Contribution: Actively support the Revenue Management team across projects, ensuring accurate data handling, timely reporting, and continuous learning in line with business objectives.

 

Required Education/ Qualifications/ Other Accreditations

 

 

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with an undergraduate degree in Hospitality, Business, Economics, or a related field; internship or academic exposure to Revenue Management, hotel operations, or analytics considered a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop a career in Revenue Management, with a strong numerical mindset and analytical curiosity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate level; familiarity with pivot tables or formulas is a plus).
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Team-oriented, detail-focused, and open to feedback.
  • No prior Revenue Management system experience required, but familiarity with hotel or analytical systems is an advantage (e.g., Opera, Duetto, Power BI, TravelClick, etc.).
