🏢 About the Company and the Department
The internship will take place within the R&D department dedicated to radio unit (RU) design and testing, with a specific focus on power amplifiers and analog system architectures. This team plays a key role in developing and benchmarking next-generation RF hardware in the context of Open RAN and advanced signal processing systems.
📚 Learning Objectives
Throughout the internship, the student will:

Learn to characterize analog components such as power amplifiers, filters, and gain stages.

Gain experience in automating laboratory tests using Python or MATLAB scripts.

Work with advanced testing platforms such as ADRV9040 and RFSoC ZCU670.

Analyze benchmarking results related to power amplifiers and digital pre-distortion (DPD) techniques.

Collaborate in the conceptual design and validation of innovative analog architectures for radio units.

Learn to document testing procedures and results according to collaborative project standards.

Develop skills in automating testing processes and performing data analysis in RF environments.

Students enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
Required Knowledge and Skills

Basic understanding of analog circuit design, RF fundamentals, and electronic instrumentation.

Familiarity with power amplifier technologies (e.g., Doherty, LMBA), LDMOS and GaN semiconductors.

Interest in linearization techniques (CFR, ET) and wireless communication standards (5G NR, LTE, WiFi).
-
Knowledge of simulation tools like LTspice, ADS, or MATLAB.
-
Foundational understanding of FPGA/ASIC design is valued.
-
Strong interest in telecommunications and applied programming/design projects.

Intermediate or higher technical English (B1/B2 or above).
