Philosophy of FUE internship programs
At Fundación Universidad-Empresa we have always had as a founding mission to improve the employability of young people, providing them with tools for their incorporation into the world of business and professional practice, and for this throughout our history we have promoted initiatives and programs that will contribute to this goal.
In 1981 we promoted in Spain the first regulation of university student internships, which was reflected in Royal Decree 1497/1981, of June 19, on Educational Cooperation Programs.
With this same philosophy, since 1981 we have been designing, in collaboration with Spanish universities, different paid internship and scholarship programs aimed at promoting the comprehensive education of university students and professional training, bringing them closer to the world of business.
All our programs constitute an activity of a formative nature carried out by students and supervised by the Universities. Its objective is to allow students to put into practice the knowledge acquired during their academic training, and to continue training in initiatives, methodologies or technologies that are useful for their professional future through paid and tutored internships in companies.
To achieve this mission, we have partner companies committed to the future of our young people who understand that training, tutoring and mentoring are fundamental values for their personal and professional development.
As a result of all this, more than 100,000 students have participated in some of the programs and scholarships of the Fundación Universidad-Empresa.
START - Internships for undergraduate and graduate university students
Paid internships in companies are the best formula for the training and integration of university students in the dynamics of the current company. The START internship program for undergraduate and graduate undergraduate students allows students to complement the theoretical training acquired at the university with practical training.

To achieve this mission we have collaborating companies committed to the future of our young people, who understand that training, tutoring and mentoring are fundamental values for their personal and professional development.
As a result of all this, more than 100,000 students have participated in some of the programs and scholarships of the Fundación Universidad-Empresa.
The importance of tutoring
The young people who begin this adventure will face new challenges, changes and learnings. Also to some difficulties, in which the tutor will have an essential accompaniment work. It is up to you to turn each new challenge into a unique growth opportunity. That is why at FUE we make sure that each stay in these training practices has an academic tutor, a business tutor and an internship tutor.
Academic tutor
The academic tutors monitor and tutor the student in each of the subjects that make up the Postgraduate Study Plan. Each tutor ensures the maximum use of this postgraduate university training by the students and monitors their performance to maximize the acquisition of skills in the students.
Company tutor
The company in which the student carries out his / her internship assigns a business tutor for each student. This tutor is in charge of proposing the training project that the student will follow throughout their internships, detailing which will be the objectives to be met and which will be the transversal and specific competences to acquire. The business tutor provides feedback on a regular basis to the student and completes the follow-up reports evaluating their performance.
