Area description:
The team is in charge of planning & reporting activities for the Travel Distribution (TRD) area: The largest Business Unit (BU) in Amadeus having circa 3B EUR Revenues and 1.4B EUR EBITDA
Project description:
1. Reporting: Supporting the Team in the Monthly closing process. Where the Team is providing analysis and understanding of the figures, underlying trends and summarizing main highlights in a comprehensive way to the rest of the Financial community and Business Partners.
2. Planning: Supporting the Team in Planning processes. Where the Teams leads the coordination and alignment of the processes in terms of deadline and data quality.
3. Support LTP: the most strategic planning exercise that we are involved in now, as it implies visualizing where the BU will stand in 3-6 years time: Will we forecast for an industry move towards the so called “NDC” (New Distribution Capabilities) and away from the traditional standards? How will Airlines and Travel Agencies consolidation impact Amadeus money flows? Will we see a profitability explosion from those called “growth areas” within TRD?
4. Support data analytics behind TRD: How do we make sure the assumptions made on the LTP above or any other planning exercise are being met? Assumptions need to be backed up with accurate data that needs to come from a unique single source of truth
