Area description:

The Strategic Finance Partner for Travel Distribution and Regions (SFT) works closely with the Travel Distribution business unit, and with the EMEA, APAC and Americas regions. We act as a true value-added business partner on all levels, and we are an integral part of the Travel Distribution and Regions team. Our mission is to support them with strategic financial advice, so they can make informed and effective decisions that drive value creation and growth. 

In this area you will be working with EMEA region, preparing financial data to support the business in key decision-making and insights, by working in an agile and simple way. 

Project description:

You will be supporting to EMEA Travel Sellers SFP team in budgeting, planning and analysis. In a monthly basis we prepare forecast for labor and non labor cost, FTE evolution, analysis deviation versus budget and reporting to business. Additionally, analysis of revenues and costs directly linked to business activity, consolidating EMEA figures and giving support to Finance Cluster Heads.

Accountabilities:

Support in monthly reporting and analysis:

  • Employees (FTE) evolution analysis within our region, ensuring FTE’s cost falling in EMEA is correct. Clarifying with P&C department (human resources) if information received is correct and/or with business.
  • Analysis and forecast of labor cost ensuring increases or decreases are in line with FTE evolution as well as budget; otherwise obtaining information about deviation through different stakeholders.
  • Analysis and forecast of Non Labor cost, actuals and budget deviations if any, understanding different projects going on that may affect our region.
  • Analysis of Gross Margin information understanding differences versus budget through different stakeholders. To provide visibility and monthly reporting on both TA IT Revenues and Incentives Evolution.
  • Support in preparing reporting package to be presented to the top management.

Learning:

You will have the opportunity to work within an international team, learn how an international company works and having different interactions with a wide variety of different stakeholders and departments within the company, based across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Understanding how the financial internal processes are geared along the company from budget to yearly closing.

Financial analysis within specific processes and tight deadlines, as well as to know different financial tools for planning and reporting. To communicate with different stakeholders, to put in practice your communication skills. Excel and PowerPoint abilities to deliver appropriate reports to top management.
