Area description:

Within the Legal, External Affairs and Governance function under the General Counsel, Regulatory Affairs is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and ensuring compliance with regulations applicable to Amadeus’ business and interacting with regulators globally.

Project description:

A recent graduate of a Master of Laws / Master of Competition Law will receive practical and highly relevant legal counseling training while supporting Amadeus' Regulatory Affairs team. See Accountabilities section for further details. 

Accountabilities:

The Regulatory Affairs trainee will work with the Regulatory Affairs and broader legal and business teams to:  

  • Analyze a broad range of regulatory developments to determine interest and potential impact for business
  • Update and standardize regulatory guidance templates and policies to create a resources library for relevant teams (business and legal)
  • Operate and improve cutting edge compliance tools (e.g., Regulatory Radar) and coordination with external providers

Learning:

In this role, the Trainee will learn to:

  • Work as member of an in-house legal department and be part of a highly motivated team
  • Navigate a global business and multicultural environment
  • Structure and communicate legal information clearly and effectively to commercial teams
  • Work with cutting edge regulatory compliance tools
  • Research and summarize regulatory developments in markets relevant for Amadeus (travel and tourism, digital and technology)
  • Develop and update compliance policies and internal guidance documents on regulatory matters such as competition law, sanctions, AI regulation and payments regulations

Requirements:

  • Educational focus, or demonstrated interest in, regulatory or competition law
  • Fluent in English
  • Teamwork spirit and good communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail 
  • Organized and structured person
  • Eager to learn; positive attitude
