Inside Travel Unit Marketing, the EMEA Field Marketing team supports our local commercial teams across different countries to drive acquisition in key growth markets through marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives, whilst also ensuring we build momentum in upselling/cross selling to our key identified customers and finally but just as importantly to ensure that we strengthen our brand perception as the leading travel technology player with our existing customers. 

Placement project:

As part of EMEA Travel Unit Marketing, you will be supporting the Field Marketing team in Spain and Portugal in the execution of the annual marketing plan of activities and events to support the sales and adoption objectives of the Travel sellers and Corporations teams in these two markets.

You will have the opportunity of learning and working in an international environment while supporting on the execution of projects, customer communications and events with high impact on the business.

Accountabilities

  • Support on the Travel Unit and Corporations monthly newsletters, customer communications and events/webinars in Spain & Portugal
  • Assistance with FITUR 2025 and other upcoming customer events and workshops.
  • Accountable for the social media calendar and posting to inform our audience about Amadeus events, products, updates, specific campaigns, etc.
  • Assist in translations for local campaigns and initiatives.
  • Coordination of marketing assets and merchandising for events
  • Specific projects might be assigned as needs arise.

Learning

The student will be able to learn:

  • How a leading travel technology multinational company works and increase your general knowledge of the Travel Industry
  • How to manage a project or event end-to-end in coordination with internal teams and external suppliers to guarantee its success.
  • What are the main marketing strategies and activities for a B2B tech company.
  • Access Amadeus resources, project management tools and marketing automation systems like Oracle Eloqua, Salesforce, Workfront and Amadeus intranet.
  • Work within a diverse and international environment, which help you develop soft skills like communication, assertiveness, and adaptability, among others. 

Requirements

  • Degree or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism and/or Events Management
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and native level of Spanish. Portuguese is desirable as well.
  • Familiarity with tools like Microsoft suite and corporate Social Networks like LinkedIn.
  • Desirable soft skills: Autonomous, proactive, decisive, attention to detail, team-player, resilient, good task and time management, flexible, fast-learning and assertive.
  • Previous experience in Marketing, B2B companies, Tourism and/or events is a plus. It is desirable that the candidate has some previous work experience, even if it’s not directly related to marketing or this industry. 

Please note that the duration of the internship will be 6 months and may be extended for a further 6 months.
