Area Description: 

Broad: Management and coordination of the marketing actions for the Amadeus Travel Unit. We focus on the optimization and launch of campaigns, with the aim of improving the customer experience and achieving business objectives.

Specific: Managing and executing digital marketing channels such as email, websites, landing pages, and content management platforms.

Project description:

Explore, test, and implement innovative strategies to optimize digital channels and enhance customer engagement (under supervision of the DMCM).

In specific: Email automation & optimization tools. Building simple and complex landing pages. Data management. Audience targeting and personalization. Successfully learn how to navigate a large organization.

Accountabilities
  • The intern will assist the Digital Marketing Manager with daily activities and support the broader marketing team in their efforts to communicate with customers. This may involve tasks related to marketing strategy, social media, content creation, and events.
  • The intern will gain experience with the entire lifecycle of the marketing process within a large organization and work with global dynamic teams to achieve these goals.

Learning: 

  • The Intern will assist and support in all areas related to Digital Marketing channels. Further, providing them with opportunities to develop their professional and personal skills.

  • Campaign setup & optimization: Learn how to set up and optimize automated marketing campaigns, including email, landing pages and forms. Monitor and adjust campaigns to drive engagement and conversions.

  • Campaign monitoring: Develop and understand the importance of regular campaign monitoring to identify opportunities for optimization based on performance.

  • A/B testing: Support in the planning and execution of A/B tests for email campaigns to ensure the highest possible engagement and conversion.

  • Database management: Contribute to the integrity and cleanliness of customer data.

  • Reporting & insights: Help provide regular reports on all email campaign performance, segmentation effectiveness, and other key metrics to stakeholders.

  • Data analysis & segmentation: Assist data analysis, segmentation, and targeting for automated campaigns.

  • Cross-department collaboration: Build relationships with teams including campaign managers, web teams and IT to support effective communication strategies. Help collaborate with teams to develop the best approaches for segmentation and campaign optimization.

Requirements:

  • Language abilities: Fluent in English (a must)
  • CRM platforms: experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar tools during studies (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Campaign experience: 1-6 months of experience (work or study) in creating and optimizing automated marketing campaigns or relevant digital marketing studies (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Technical proficiency: comfortable with marketing automation software or an ability to learn technical marketing platforms with ease. Experience of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Rush, etc.). An understanding of HTML/CSS code or a willingness to learn.
  • Customer journey mapping: knowledge in creating data-driven customer journey maps that help guide automated campaigns and improve customer interactions.
  • Data-driven decision making: an ability to interpret data and make informed decisions that drive campaign success, including identifying segmentation opportunities and targeting strategies.
  • Detail-oriented & creative: able to manage multiple tasks with a good level of attention to detail and creativity.
  • Problem-solver: analytical and problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot and find solutions to challenges in campaign execution and platform integration.
  • Communication skills: ability to communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives and strategies.
  • Collaborative & team-oriented: Grow the skills to successfully work effectively close with multiple departments, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring smooth execution of campaigns and projects.
