🏢 About the Company and Department
The internship will take place within the Open RAN R&D team, which focuses on the design, integration, and validation of open and virtualized 5G network solutions. The team actively contributes to European innovation programs (IPCEI, Horizon Europe) and collaborates with major industry players such as AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA.
📚 Learning Objectives
Throughout the internship, the student will have the opportunity to:
🔹 Apply networking and virtualization knowledge to support the integration of DU (Distributed Unit) platforms in container-based and distributed environments.
🔹 Learn to automate network testing processes using scripting tools such as Bash, Python, and Ansible.
🔹 Develop technical skills in interoperability testing, working with hardware accelerators (NICs, GPUs) and multi-vendor 5G components.
🔹 Gain insights into collaborative R&D projects by participating in the preparation of technical deliverables and documentation.
🔹 Acquire practical experience in key technologies such as Kubernetes, KVM, and Linux-based systems, all within a real innovation-driven setting.
