Area Description
In this role, you will be joining a transversal team within one of the innovation departments of Amadeus: Nexwave, the Amadeus Business Incubator and Accelerator. Nexwave's mission is to identify winning business opportunities and take them successfully from idea to scale, using our state-of-the-art innovation and business incubation methodology, and leveraging the Amadeus ecosystem of travel and tech industry players.
Project description
We are the Nexwave Incubation Office, a transversal team within Nexwave. Our goal is to drive the success of Nexwave, by efficiently overseeing the portfolio of innovation projects, finance, resources, operations and processes. We deliver high-quality services to the incubations (innovation projects) and create value for our stakeholders. This team has transversal visibility across the portfolio of innovation projects, and is in charge of managing the operational backbone of the innovation activities: from the financial and capacity management, to the operating model, processes and portfolio reporting, to being the link with the Amadeus organization and corporate processes.
Accountabilities
- Assist incubation projects in defining and reporting their OKRs (objectives and key results) and KPIs (key performance indicators) to monitor their performance, and to enable top management decision making.
- Contribute to the planning and management of our Portfolio Performance Review sessions with top management and key stakeholders, including the delivery of presentation materials together with incubation project owners.
- Continuous improvement of portfolio management model, including enhancing deliverables, processes, and tools.
- Develop, implement and monitor the Nexwave operating model (way of working)
- Assist in the implementation of the operating model (processes, way of working, methodology and tooling for Nexwave).
- Support in resource arbitration for our incubation projects, including business and R&D resources.
- Identify and execute improvements to the operating model, including research of best practices and methodologies for innovation management, SAFE/agile, etc.
- Document processes, and organize trainings and awareness sessions for incubation projects.
Run and enhance the Nexwave Incubation Office service catalogue to incubations
- Drive process improvement opportunities for the incubation projects (implementation of new tools, new services...).

- Tooling: Microsoft office suite tools, Copilot, Power BI and more
- Technical: innovation methodology, lean start-up, stage-gate process, agile and SAFE methodologies, portfolio management role-specific skills, exposure to business operations activities
- Soft: prioritization and ownership of tasks, creative problem solving, communication and influencing skills
- Business acumen and industry knowledge: travel technology industry (airline and airport tech, travel agencies, hotels, etc), emerging trends impacting our business as AI, agentic AI or digital identities
