About the Role
We are currently looking for an Intern to join our Finance group in Madrid as a Financial Planning & Analyst. The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month internship and will get the chance to work in a multinational environment, supporting the EMEA Finance Operation team (FinOps) on core activities such as Closing, Planning, Reporting & Financial Analysis.
Your learnings will be:
- Supporting the planning, reporting and commission processes on the calculation, analysis and tools deployment, contributing with improvement proposals or best in class identified processes in any division.
- Helping on the commissions task, by participating in the accrual and payout calculation, integrate the Commission implementation project for EMEA.
- Collaborating on the month-end close activities: Collaborate with the owners of the divisions and geographies assigned in creating the reports, liaising with the FP&As to identify information updates and improvement areas, understanding gaps.
- Contributing to accelerate projects by actively participating, creating an open communication channel with the users, gathering business requirements, involving them in the testing phase, incorporate feedbacks on the scope, etc.
- Understanding EMEA forecasting process and periods to be a key element in the definition and load of the estimations from the six divisions and 73 countries involved.
What do we look for in you:
- Graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance or Business related field.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- Good knowledge of basic financial concepts.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work within an international matrix team environment.
- Autonomy, with the ability to take decisions and bring new ideas to the table.
