Area Description

The Order and Billing Solution team is responsible for all the technology in use during the billing process including mediation (data transformation), billing (invoice generation) and invoice distribution. Within the architecture office, we are responsible of the technical stability and evolution, process improvement and tech innovation (including the validation and enablement of new technologies).

Project Description

Innovation and new technologies to empower financial processes.

It is time for AI and automations to improve the order and billing processes. During the internship, the students will have the chance to understand how complex financial processes involving millions of transactions are executed; analyze different flows and work in optimizing them by using new technologies as data mining, robot process automation, AI and generative AI.

In detail:
- you will have the chance to participate in the data mining strategy definition on the process side and from a tech perspective.
- you will implement generative AI agents, working directly at LLM/code level to define the desired behavior of the solution according to business needs
- you will identify processes to automate, design the solution architecture and implement and/or work with the implementation teams to create real solutions

On the process side, communication with the finance teams is constant so you will have the chance to learn how to understand and detect friction points, bottlenecks and any other improvement opportunity; also, to communicate the ideas, new projects and progress of ongoing activities. Last, you will learn how to become a translator between business and tech teams, prioritizing tasks and matching requirements ad capacity while managing responsibilities and customer expectations.

Accountabilities: 

- Analytical thinking: detection of improvement opportunities via process analysis (including the use of data mining solutions)
- Tech Implementation: test, development and implementation of Generative AI solutions targeting process efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Solution design: design and propose automations for manual processes
- Customer management: handle the communication between the business and the tech delivery teams managing expectations and development capacities
- Communication skills: presentation of new proposals, project status and deliveries to different stakeholders and upper management
