The Transversal Strategic Planning team at Amadeus supports the Human Resources business unit, leading global cross-organizational initiatives related to organizational changes and strategic projects. In this context, we are looking for a privacy intern to join the team and promote privacy compliance standards, especially within the scope of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), with a special focus on the maintenance of the Register of Processing Activities

The intern will be part of Transversal Strategic Planning team and will work closely with the global privacy team to implement and continually improve privacy practices.

Accountabilities

1. The Privacy Intern will collaborate closely with various PEOPLE AND CULTURE teams in the company, providing advice on privacy-related initiatives and ensuring the maintenance of the privacy compliance culture.
2. Support on the update and maintenance of the global Record of processing activities.
3. Support on the performance of privacy training to promote awareness in the company.
4. Support on the automation of Privacy by Design compliance processes.
5. Collaboration with People and Culture teams globally to provide guidance on new initiatives, making privacy compliance more concrete from the initial stages.
6. Support on the execution of privacy impact assessments and risk analyses relating to People and Culture projects.

Learning

• Understand relevant privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR or other local data protection laws.
• Learn how to create, maintain, and update records of processing activities, including understanding the importance of properly documenting data processing.
• Learn the skills to conduct assessments of new privacy initiatives in the People and Culture department when they involve the processing of personal data.
• Understand how to integrate privacy by design practices into the organization’s projects and processes and ensure that privacy is a default component.
• Improve communication skills to explain privacy concepts in a clear and understandable way to both colleagues and external parties.
• Participate in the creation and execution of privacy awareness programs to educate employees and promote a data privacy culture.
• Learn to develop and analyze privacy metrics and reports to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented policies and procedures.
• Being part of a diverse, multicultural, and multinational environment.

Requirements

• Degree in Law or a related discipline.
• Certification/Courses/master’s in data Protection (preferred).
• Fluent English
• Teamwork spirit
